In the video installation “WIR (das licht)” [WE (the light)] we find a gesture of overlaying and dividing at the same time: a Fresnel lens that sends the projectors light through the lens of a camera in order to make an image appear on the wall. Changing images, an unobtrusive crackling of the photo equipment, rhythmically changing voices that build up a collage-like narrative that not only asks about the light, but also about that ‚we‘ – the basic characteristics of identity. The works thus allow a broad spectrum of associations to arise. Playing with the clear-precise and the fuzzy-diffuse, they move between the technical-physical, the personal-political or the perceptual-psychological. But with each perspective these associations are continuously spread anew.

In der Videoinstallation „WIR (das licht)“ setzt sich die Geste des Überlagerns und zugleich Zerteilens fort: Eine bündelnde Linse, die das Beamerlicht fokussiert durch das Objektiv der Kamera schickt, um ein Bild auf der Wandfläche erscheinen zu lassen. Wechselnde Bilder, ein unaufdringliches Knistern der Fotoapparatur, rhythmisch wechselnde Stimmen, die collageartig eine Erzählung aufbauen, die nach dem Licht, aber auch nach jenem ‚wir‘ – nach den Grundzügen von Identität – fragt.
